INSPIRATION, 84/365

"Inspiration," Theme #159, can be found in surprising places.
When I saw this threesome hiking along the roadside at the edge of our tiny town, I had to pull over for some conversation and a photo. The word "cancer" leaps out at you from unexpected places if your family has been touched by it in any form. The sign on his back sums up why they're walking (canine cancer) and where they can be found on the web. His particular focus is on identifying a cause so the disease can be prevented in the first place.

Advances found across the spectrum benefit everyone and everything in the battle (research "comparative oncology" if you want to know more about the animal/human cancer link) so Luke & Co.'s efforts can have a profound impact on us all.

They've put in more than 1000 miles in just over a year and plan to reach Boston at their 2 year anniversary next March. Austin to Boston. On foot. Talk about living what you believe and being passionate about making a positive change!

If you see them in your area, be sure to welcome them! I hope to see more photos of them on our blog group as they travel toward Boston! In the meantime, visit Hudson, Murphy and Luke on the web at
