Rather than risk discussion, discerning coeds know better than to walk too close to these "Feline Friends," Theme #97. This is the lion fountain near Stanley Coulter Hall on the Purdue University campus.
Legend has it that if a virgin passes nearby, the lions will roar.
That is so funny! I can see generations of girls giving that a wide berth. Or not... ;-)
ReplyDeleteWere you able to verify this legend perchance????
ReplyDeleteCreative take on the theme, love that water - nice!
ReplyDeleteRon, a lady never tells!!
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the theme. I guess every university has a similar landmark on campus, huh?
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny story! And, Julie (comment #1)...for college girls intent on finishing a degree...better to give it a wide berth, than to give birth!
ReplyDeleteBet that doesn't happen too often these days...
ReplyDeleteGreat statue and funny story. I wonder how many colleges have those kinds of legends.
ReplyDeleteI imagine they've been silent for some years now... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI wonder how old that legend is, fun shot and story.
ReplyDeleteLooks like this legend was created in 1903 and if it is that old I have to believe it!! Fun shot!!
