BABY 112/365
Baby, Theme #17.
As in, we have a new grandchild as of 8:07 this morning.
No point in wasting a perfectly good theme shot so check in tomorrow to see which theme is covered, boy or girl!
ANTICIPATION....
...no photos to post yet, but I can tell you that the baby theme, as well as either the boy or girl theme, will be well covered beginning this morning! Our second grandchild will be born soon.
There is some inter-family betting going on....Mr. L. has gone for 10:00 and a boy, oldest daughter is taking 9:00 and a boy; although I think it's a boy, someone has to root for a girl so I've taken 9:17 and a girl.

POWER, 112/365
Mr. Lorri has been having problems with his computer. I think I know why. He seems to have a "bug" in his "Power," Theme #239, supply.
side note....men get a little testy when, after years of leaping to remove any tiny bug you see in the house, the mother of all bugs shows up and you yell "don't scare it off before I get my camera!"

SPELLING ERRORS 111/365
A photo of the AOL Welcome screen. Spell Check doesn't catch those "Spelling Errors," Theme #297, that disguise themselves as other words.

FELINE FRIENDS, 110/365
Rather than risk discussion, discerning coeds know better than to walk too close to these "Feline Friends," Theme #97. This is the lion fountain near Stanley Coulter Hall on the Purdue University campus.
Legend has it that if a virgin passes nearby, the lions will roar.
BACKLIGHTING 109/365
The violas are resting in the kitchen sink with natural "Backlighting," Theme 109, from the window behind them.

SPIRAL, 108/365
The colorful "Spiral," Theme #298, of brake lines off the back of an 18-Wheeler we were passing on the interstate.

CHILDHOOD FAVORITES, 103/365
A friend's little girl is wearing a dress I made when my youngest daughter was one year old. The bunny dress was one of my daughter's "Childhood Favorites," Theme #48. It was fun to see it worn again for Easter, 24 years later!
LAUNDRY, 102/365
The footwashing ritual at the Holy Thursday Mass creates a lot of "Laundry," Theme #167. Afterwards the towels are donated to a local shelter.

FLOWERS, 99/365
Spring has sprung and the magnolia trees in Indianapolis, IN, are covered in beautiful "Flowers," Theme #103

COMPUTER, 97/365
Don't you love medical technology! A "Computer," Theme #62, look at a composite PET/CT scan. That's the inside of Mr. Lorri you're viewing with his oncologist giving a fingerpoint tour of the anatomical structures from top to, er, bottom.
If only he had had this photo when our girls were teenagers. He could have definitively refuted those disgusted girl looks that said dad's brain was either absent or firmly planted somewhere other than in his head.

SILHOUETTE, 96/365
Sometimes getting a shot in "Silhouette," Theme #283, says so much about being a seven year old boy. The enthusiasm for the moment mixed with the measured care of negotiating those steps.
--I was waiting below for our daughter and grandson to join us on the canal walk in downtown Indianapolis. I caught Joshua before he saw me as he headed down the steps, bag of bread in hand for the ducks on the canal.--
WARNINGS, 95/365
You enter the first door, one person at a time. Pause to be scanned. When the green light blinks, you may enter the business through a second door.
Same routine when you leave.
Banking circa 2009. Photo ID, fingerprint check, weapons scan....

The door of the bank offers up "Warnings," Theme #351.

TIE THE KNOT. 94/365
We used to live in a college town where shoe tossing was a "goodbye" ritual along one street. Graduating seniors left behind their shoes, worn thin from years of walking to classes and campus bars.
In some urban areas shoe tossing is sometimes thought to be associated with the territory of drug deals or gang. Although that trick has to be a bit overused by now!
Whatever the reason, someone had to "Tie the Knot," Theme #328, in those laces before the shoes were slung up over the utility lines.

ACCESSORIES, 93/365
Mr. Lorri loves gadgets and nothing shows it better than the pile of "Accessories," Theme #7, he has for his phone.
I'm not even asking what the duct tape is all about....I think it's the MacGyver in him. At any given moment he can turn out his pockets and repair the world with some duct tape, a bungee cord and a toothpick.

RECYCLED, 92/365
A full shot of yesterday's cross. It was made by a metal artist who searches farm lots for old machinery. Someone's abandoned junk has become "Recycled," Theme #254 , art.

CHAINS, 91/365
My favorite bit of garden art is this celtic cross made from recycled machinery. It includes sharp toothed "Chains," Theme #44.
