AGED, 123/365

She's 97 years young. Our family treasure. She's buried 2 husbands and 2 daughters-in-law. She still "moms" the sons she raised and she's our go-to source for how to get stains out of a tablecloth or take the sting out of a bug bite.
She's played girls basketball in the Kentucky State Finals, driven a taxicab and been "Miss Annie" to hundreds of schoolkids through decades of teaching in 2 states. Six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren later she's still thrilled by life, especially new life.

It was worth 8 hours of driving yesterday to introduce her to the newest great-great-grandson. I marvel that I am introducing my "Aged," yet ageless, grandmother to my own grandson. It is, indeed, a moment captured in time.

  8. I only have one word for this (now that I've cleared the tears from my eyes...), and that is: timeless.
