BODIES OF WATER, 140/365

Early morning at my sister/brother-in-law's farm. Morning fog rolls across the "Bodies of Water," Theme #29, as the sun peeks over the edge of dawn.

TEMPERATURE, 139/365

When the sun warmed water of the farm lakes meet the cooler air of an incoming storm, the "Temperature," Theme #317, difference creates a cloud of vapor that seems to have a life of it's own.

SLEEPY OR SLEEPING, 138/365

He's at his finest from 3 to 6AM. Toothless grins, wordless cooing and oh-so-cute finger grabbing.

The kid, not Mr. L.

The big yawn is another of his tricks guaranteed to bring a big "AWWWW..." from us. Don't let it fool you into thinking he's "Sleepy," Theme #288. He's just playing us.

GRIN, 137/365

A full tummy, a warm place to snuggle and the security of his grandpa's arms. Reasons enough for a guy to fall asleep with a "Grin," Theme #130, on his face.

He's 4 weeks old now and he knows he's got us whipped.

WEIGHTS AND MEASURES, 136/365

Our new mommy is getting a much needed full night of sleep, leaving us in charge of the wee hour feedings. It's been a while since we did the filling and fixing of 3AM bottles! "Weights and Measures," Theme #355.

LINES, 135/365

Seen at a Dairy Queen in Beavercreek, Ohio....the parking lot "Lines," Theme #172, are painted ice cream cones.

SPORT, 134/365

The greatest spectacle in Motor-"Sport," Theme #299, here in miniature form. The 24th running of the Bunker Hill Elementary Mini-500. One hundred and thirty handmade cardboard cars raced around a grass "track" by 130 eager first graders. A look at the field of entries for this year's race.

ROAD, STREET 133/365

Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.

The 500 Festival Kid's Day and Rookie Run is where the Indianapolis 500 Festival takes a day to celebrate children. Thirty thousand kids and their parents pack the circle downtown for the free games and give-away booths. Three thousand of those kids participate in the Rookie Run.

The course ranges from two city blocks long (one up, one back) to 1/2 mile up and back by age group.

I stood in Meridian Street to catch the beginning of the heat when our grandson ran. There's something about getting to run smack down the middle of the "Road, Street," Theme #262 , that just appeals to a 7-year old boy!

AWARD, 132/365

Miss Haylee is very proud of her medal. She won this "Award," Theme #16, by competing in The Rookie Run as part of the Indianapolis 500 Festival events.

I love the Rookie Run because every child who races receives a medal and every racer wears bib #1.

STAIRS, 131/365

From the spillway to the roadway above the dam, there are 186 "Stairs," Theme #301 .

FROM GROUND LEVEL, 130/365

"From Ground Level," Theme #111, it took only moments for 130 balloons to disappear from sight.
(From the environmental side, it may be much longer before they disappear. I have some concerns about balloon releases...)

HEIRLOOM. 129/365

Family "Heirlooms," Theme #146, current and future.
I love that I couldn't get a shot of my grandmother looking up at the camera; she was too mesmerized by her newest great-great grandchild.

IT'S SATURDAY MORNING, 128/365

"It's Saturday Morning," Theme #161, and coaches all over are trying to herd in energetic spirits before soccer begins for the day.

JUMPING, LEAPING, BOUNCING, 127/365

Taking a cue from Tammy Chesney and her soccer boys...my grandson Joshua demonstrates the "Jumping, Leaping, Bouncing," Theme #162, aspects of soccer.

WATER, 126/365

A couple pauses along the walking path to look across the"Water," Theme #353, as the sun begins to rise.

HANDS, 125/365

One tiny hand clasps the little finger of his paternal grandfather's hand.

VAPOR, 124/365

Construction in downtown Indianapolis brings a "Vapor," Theme #348, cloud early on a chilly morning.

AGED, 123/365

She's 97 years young. Our family treasure. She's buried 2 husbands and 2 daughters-in-law. She still "moms" the sons she raised and she's our go-to source for how to get stains out of a tablecloth or take the sting out of a bug bite.
She's played girls basketball in the Kentucky State Finals, driven a taxicab and been "Miss Annie" to hundreds of schoolkids through decades of teaching in 2 states. Six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren later she's still thrilled by life, especially new life.

It was worth 8 hours of driving yesterday to introduce her to the newest great-great-grandson. I marvel that I am introducing my "Aged," yet ageless, grandmother to my own grandson. It is, indeed, a moment captured in time.
